Our Day

I have felt out of sorts lately, so I laid down for a while this morning. I watched "Vanity Fair" which was ok. More of a time killer than anything else. The kids watched it on and off. We ate lunch then headed to the library to return books and then to Chelsea's award banquet. She received an award for being on the flag line this year. Here is a picture of all the flag and twirlers. Chelsea is in the middle, dark hair (which is still hard to get used to!) w/ a white sweater top over a white and turquoise dress. Isn't she gorgeous?


After that we headed to Andrew and Abi's important event. Here is a picture of them getting ready for it. Can you guess what they did?



Any guesses??

Well, I will tell you! They filmed a commercial for Texas Bank & Trust today! A man that we go to church with called yesterday and asked if they would be interested. I said of course they would! They took about an hour and a half to film it all and did a great job! I was so impressed with how well they did. They listened the entire time and did exactly as they were told. They just really had to sit and color but that can get boring after a while, especially when you finished coloring it already and there is a camera in your face. The men who were in charge were great with the kids. I am thrilled they had this opportunity. They may never do it again, but it's something they can say they have done!

Andrew is very technical. I could tell he really wanted to take the camera apart and figure out how it worked. They let him "control" it for a minute after we were done.


After that, we went and saw Nini and Papa for a minute. Then home to fix pizza. My wonderful hubby bought me a blackberry for which I was a big ungrateful for at first. Why can't I ever be happy?! I am such a mean witch at times. What is wrong with me? I annoy myself!

We are going to watch "The journey of natty gan" tonight.  If we finish the book of Nim's Island we are going to see that tomorrow then some fun friends will join us for dinner!
