Abi had her bestest friend (she actually told us this a couple of weeks back) Caden spend the night the other night. Andrew went home with Jared, Caden's brother, and you can read about their adventures
here. All of these kids have been friends since birth. At first they had no choice because their parents are friends but now they are friends by choice! Abi and Caden have such a great time together. They built a tent to sleep in, watched movies, ATE, (which happens to be both of their favorite pastimes!) baked brownies, sold the brownies, and most importantly, made sure that our chickens laid eggs. Caden is infacutated with our hens and made it his duty to see to it that they laid. He would proudly bring in an egg each time they did. At the end of the day, he washed the eggs and took a dozen home with him. Caden is an all around great kid. He is not afraid to ask questions and he makes sure to listen to the answer. He and Abi have a lot in common despite being a boy and a girl. They both love outside, the adore eating, they can both be stubborn, and they have great, caring hearts. Caden respects Abi and respects us. We pray that their friendship will continue and they will lift each other up in the faith, to encourage each other in the Word, and to have a friendship that pleases the Lord.
Posing with the delicious, homemade brownies they made. They went and sold these at Papa's work and made $2 each.

Displaying just some of the eggs they found. They each made a quarter for the amount they collected.

Let me tell ya 'bout my best friend....(look at those smiles! It's a "can you believe she is making us do this? We both stink!)

Sweet post.
Jeff and I was talking again last night about how we hope Caden didn't "stress out" your chickens! That child is something else.
