We woke up and enjoyed a wonderful breakfast of eggs, ham, and biscuits. We headed out the door for church. My sister and her husband attend a church with a traditional service which is unlike our contemporary service. I highly enjoyed singing the older hymns. We do sing them at our church but that's all we sang at their church. As an adult, I pay more attention to the words. "Trust and Obey" and "People Need the Lord" really spoke to me as I thought about where our family is at this moment in life. The kids went to their SS classes (So proud of them!) and I went to SS with Jessi and Franklin. I really enjoyed their teacher. He spoke on Romans 8. His main focus is that Jesus commands us to go to all nations and be His light. AMEN! I loved an analogy that he used with adoption and salvation. The kids you adopt may not feel part of your family for a while, but as the parents, you immediately love them. When we are not Christians or are new Christians we aren't quiet sure if we are comfortable with God and all He represents. But as we grow, we slowly understand more. He was a very gifted teacher.
After church we headed to my favorite restaurant, Jalisco's for some awesome Mexican food. We spend the rest of the day hanging out, eating yummy brownies and learning a new board game!
Fun Tu-tus! Abi made hers. Lewis wanted to twirl in it then take it off!
