We spend Friday morning lazying around and gathering last minute items for their trip. Eric's mom came to visit for a while then our neighbors joined us for prayer before we hit the road for DFW. We made a run through Chick Fil A's drive thru, mainly for sweet tea which was watery. :-( After some initial not knowing where to go and making wrong turns, Chelsea's handy dandy phone GPS got us to DFW. We dropped them off curbside, hugged and kissed, promised to pray and waved goodbye.
Andrew, Abi and I got back on the road and headed to my sisters house for the weekend. We stopped in Hillsboro to eat our traditional pizza dinner. It wasn't homemade but Pizza Hut came through with a good pizza. We anxiously awaited updates from the world travelers, especially since this was Chelsea's first time to fly. We arrived at my sisters around 8, visited awhile, then headed to bed. We tried to sleep but we still wanted to hear from dad and sis before they left the states. After having a little bit of a luggage problem, they were on their way across the ocean to Korea. We were all finally able to rest then.
Eric took Abi and Andrew both out for a night before he left. This is him and Abi. I could kick myself for not getting one of him and Andrew.
We had a group of people come over and cover Eric, Chelsea, and their trip in prayer before they left. What is amazing about this is that all the teens present, Chelsea excluded, are not Christians. How cool that they came to lift them up in prayer?! Seeds are even being planted here!
Preparing to leave
Bye! See you August 6th!
