The book was better than the movie

The kids and I finished "Indian in the Cupboard" today. The movie arrived just in time for us to watch it tonight. The kids and I agreed that the book was much better. They pointed out the differences between the book and movie and I was very glad to see that they remembered a lot from the book. The movie wasn't bad, but the book was better! The book was a bit um..for lack of a better word..meaner. It definently was not written by an American. The woman was from London. (Here is my blonde moment...is she British or English? I really do not know! No comments please!) The movie also said it was PG for mild language. Mild language to me is "shut up, stupid" but this was not mild language! It had some words I would not say! ( I shouldn't say the above words either!) Abi repeated one of the sentences, not knowing, and we had to point it out which I hate to do.

Tomorrow is our last official day of ELO. I am a bit sad, but happy because I can do a full week of our school work. I am getting that panicky feeling that we aren't going to accomplish everything. (Maybe if I did school every day..but that's a whole nother subject!) I need to start working on curriculum for next year but I will wait until we are back from our vacation.

About our vacation, I am wondering if we should go or if Satan is trying to make us not go. Yes, we are going to the heathern town of New Orleans for our 10 yr. anniversary. We are going to miss so many things. Please pray that I will have a peace while we are gone. I sometimes worry about when we are both gone from the kids.

So my question of the day...why does my 6 yr. old little girl have to wear blue eye shadow and blush for her recital? She is cute just as she is!! To see the best April Fools joke I have ever read, click on Christy M.'s blog. I totally fell for it. (and you are all nodding your heads saying, "of course you did.")

Tootles! Jesus loves yoU!

I never realized how ugly those word were until my kids said them. Now they sound like swear words to me. :P

Yep I always disliked the makeup for recitals! They say it is for the audience can see the faces!
