who leads a double life as spider man
and a famous ballerina!
Andrew had his first piano competition on Friday and he got "Superior" in each category! We are so proud of him. He had to memorize a piece of music and play in front of two judges. He was not phased in the least! He went right in there and never looked back. We ran into these weird kids there. lol (The Shaw kiddo's. Mack also got a blue ribbon!)
Friday night was Abi's dance rehearsal. Here is a picture of her class.
That night Eric surprised me and got our neighbor Debbie to baby-sit for us. We had dinner at Shoguns, went to TJ Maxx (funny little insert here..I needed new bra's ..yes, that's personal, but still,we all wear them and you should be happy that I do...well, when you are first married your hubby is all about picking out your unmentionables, wanting you to buy the sexy ones and all. Now that we have been married 10 yrs. he goes and looks at coffee! He knows that I am not going to buy the ones he picks out now!) and Books A Million, then dessert at Olive Garden. It was a nice, quiet way to spend our anniversary.
On Saturday we had soccer games and soccer pictures. We spent 3 hrs. at the soccer fields! After soccer games Eric had a call to run so the kids and I went to Kids View Park where PARD was holding a special event. They had a big bouncy house, some arts and crafts, dancers, and a treasure hunt set up. The kids loved the treasure hunt. I was so proud of how well they worked together to figure it out. They even got a prize out of the treasure box!
We came home and started getting ready for Abi's recital. I am so proud of myself I did a bun in her hair!! Yay me! Here is a picture of us getting ready. You can tell by my eyes how stressed I was. Maybe I was showing her how wide to open her eyes for mascara? Who knows?! I kept telling her to "BE STILL!" I did not want anything messed up.
Here is a video of her dance. She is the second little girl on the first row. It's hard to see her when she moves to the back. You will be amazed at how good she is!!
We were very impressed with the entire recital. Well my stepmom and I were. Eric slept through it, my dad & Christopher took Andrew out to play, and my mom and (step) dad and nanny had to leave early. all of the costumes were very modest and very cute. The dances were very well done. I was so impressed w/ the upper ballet classes. You never know how provocative the dances will be. Eric and I have seen some bad ones. We were both impressed w/ how well these were done. (when he was awake!) We went and ice cream at Shake's w/ the S. family afterwards. The kids were still so excited and the girls were still dancing everywhere. Abi is counting the days until she starts dance again.
Today my dad and stepmom had lunch w/ us. My brother was busy working on his thesis. If you think about it tomorrow around 5:00, please pray for Christopher. That is when he will defend his thesis.
Here are some random pics I wanted to share.
Here are my parents with their grandkids. I think Nathan is trying to get Abi's hair. lol
Me & Abi at her dance rehearsal. You should have seen the picture before this. My 13 yrs. of ballet came into training. I was falling in it!
This is the best one I got with Andrew. He was sticking his tongue out in one. He seems to take after my dad when we take pictures. Every picture of my dad he is sticking out his tongue. sigh....
