On Saturday night we had the Cornett's and Cleveland's over for a bar-b-que. It was funny having our oldest friends here and our newest friends. We had a great time sitting around talking, eating, and just getting to know each other. The kids all got along and had a great time playing. After playing outside, they looked like they had taken a shower! It was HOT!
Here is a cute picture of J. Cleveland. She came in with moss in her hair. I would kill for those cute curls!

On Sunday we finally went and saw "Nim's Island." It was a very good family movie. Those kind of movies make me happy. After that we went to my moms and had pizza for dinner. My grandmother was there along with my uncle. It was great to see them both. My grandmother shared a bit about the depression with us which was really neat to hear. I wanted Andrew to hear it first hand from someone who had experienced it.
The kids spent the night with mom on Sunday night. Since I couldn't walk on Monday, I slept late! I then got my hair cut, had lunch with Eric, went to Books A Million, and bought groceries. That afternoon we just sat around. I finished my book and then we watched Star Wars.(#5)One more to go! It was nice to just hang out and do nothing. Even though I was feeling a bit like I didn't have friends since we weren't at a bar-b-que. ;-)
Today we went to Sci-port with our sweet friends, the Wooden's. We had lunch at Monjuni's (Allison's favorite, but not Andrew's!) then headed over to Sci-port. The kids had a great time playing with all the stuff there. We were there for 3 hours! But that was barely enough time do every thing there. I enjoyed it a lot today because I actually participated with the kids. I will say that their scales are off!!! By about 10 pds! (well they had better be!) We went to a little educational show where they got to touch real organs. The teacher showed them a pair of smoker's lungs which I am very grateful for. I'm so thankful for friends who take us to fun events!!
The kids with their goggles and gloves getting ready to touch real organs. Andrew looks super excited. He wanted to see every single thing there. And figure them out!

Cooper looking cute in his goggles

Tasha, our neighbor, went to her 8th grade dance tonight. She came over and wanted to take pictures with us! She will never know how much that meant to both of us! She looked absolutely beautiful!! And so grown up!

Your little field trip sounds super fun!! Aaawww, that is sooooo sweet that Tash wanted to take pics with you guys. That must have been a HUGE compliment. I have only met her once, while at your house. She seemed very sweet! Did she wear her jewelery her Mom bought at your party?
