The proposal

I guess I should continue my story since I still do not have a camera and my posts are boring. *cough christi cough* We left off with Eric and I dating.

I decided in June that Eric should propose to me. I dropped some hints to make sure we were on the same page. We pretty much were. He had already changed jobs so he could support his "family." I found the perfect wedding dress and made sure he knew. lol How bad am I? But my parents were going to make me start paying rent! I had to get out! (Like getting married was cheaper!) We even went and picked out a ring. I was working at the mall and one day he went and picked out a ring he liked. He told me to do the same thing and we would meet up later to see what each other had picked out. Guess what? They were the same rings! I remember one afternoon my sister had gone and did something with us. Eric asked her to come up to his apartment with him so he could show her something. I was left in the car. When she came back crying I figured I was getting proposed to soon or he had just made a move on my sister. Eric is horrible at keeping secrets. (Btw, I am soooo getting a wii for Christmas!)

One evening I went over to his apartment. He decided to cook a nice dinner that night for some reason. I was like whatever, at least he was cooking! He was being a bit spastic that night but I just kind of ignored him. I remember finding a piece of paper with a proposal written out on it and the name of a radio station on the counter. I told him if you propose on the radio I will die of embarrassment. He put dinner on the table than told me he needed to change his shirt. I looked at him strangely and just said ok. He was gone quiet awhile. I was getting a bit perturbed because I was hungry. (can't you just picture that? soo me!) He finally came back and we started eating. He had the radio on and if I had been thinking about it (instead of eating) I would have questioned why we were listening to this particular station. We started eating, by candlelight no less. (i know, I know, where was my brain?!) All of the sudden, I hear Eric on the radio. All I heard was his name and then I started screaming. (he still teases me that he wasn't proposing, he was just requesting a song.) He pulled out a ring (the one we had picked out!) and asked me to marry him! I calmed down and said yes!! A thousand times yes! We hugged, kissed and looked at each other. He laughed and told me I could start calling people. He knows me well. The radio station had asked me to call back with my answer. I called back gushing, "Yes, I said yes" and a bunch of other crazy things. The station also gave us a free meal at this wonderful upscale restaurant in Tyler.

By the way, I didn't die of embarrassment. I wouldn't change his proposal for anything! It was just perfect! He really shocked me which can be hard to do.
