Andrew and I went to the Mom & Me campout this weekend for Cub Scouts. We had such a great time! I enjoyed the one on one time I had with him. We go on dates but we got to do "boy stuff" and it was neat to be able to do all that together. He got to see that mom can be fun! We had a great campsite (no. 1) so the walking wasn't too bad. I even set up the tent, with Andrew's help of course! Now taking it down...we did well until we started walking to the car and I went to look for my keys. Guess what? they were rolled up in the tent!!
Andrew did the BB shootout and did great. He even "won" an patch. If you scored a 35 or above, you got a p junior marksman patch. He scored a 44! The highest you could score was a 50. I was so proud of him!

We also did archery. I joined in for this. I was pretty bad. I couldn't even get near the target. Andrew did pretty good. He had never done it so for his first time, he didn't do too bad.
We did a lot of the events but I do not have pictures of them all. Overall, one of the best weekends I have ever had! Andrew is a fun kid! He is smart, funny, witty, a good shot, a good friend, and so many other things. He was so incredibly sweet to me all weekend. They grow up so fast. And with boys, they get a wife! You know that your girls will need you, but your son...They will always love you but you know. I can't wait for next year and the memories we will make!

sounds wonderful. where is his cubscout based out of? dave (an eagle scout) doesn't particularly care for the cub scouts, but i'm kinda interested cause it seems like it's the time when the moms get to be a part!
