First some things I have to share that only I may find interesting:
-Abi has been a little entrepreneur. She made little paper fans and is selling them to all for a penny. She made a sign, set up a tray in the kitchen and sits there and waits. It's adorable.
-Andrew started Swim Club! He has only got to attend one class due to lightning today but so far really likes it.
-We had to actually ground Andrew from reading. For those who remember the early days of our schooling did you ever thing that day would come?! He focuses so much on getting a book to read in the car he forgets his Bible for church, swim clothes for swim, a beach towel one day. So we took away reading for awhile. It's cruel but it works. Never thought that would be my kid but I LOVE IT!
-Chelsea is a sophmore. SOPHMORE! Crazy! Her first day was not good. Actually it was heartbreaking. She got into the car and cried. My heart broke because this is my child that hardly ever cries. Each day has gotten a bit better so we are so thankful. She has had so many people praying for her. We are truly blessed with great friends.
-We are officially into our school year! Every year, right before we start, I panic. Are we doing the right thing? Do I have the right curriculum? Am I cut out for this? And the night before the second day I always think, " That was fun. But do I really have to do it again?" Yes, it's overwhelming to think we are completely responsible for their education but God will equip the call. So far things are going well.
-The kids and I have been running. Me, running! Our adopted college student, Kenzie, runs. She has an awesome body so she inspires me. Yes, I know I will never look like Kenzie (honestly, she's just hot. And I say that in a non-gay way) but I feel so good because I am running!!
-My adorable nephew Nathan called me the other day. He will be 2 in October. He actually calls us a lot on his mom's cell phone w/out anyone knowing. But this time he talked. He started singing "Elmo's World" to me. I think he thought I was my mom at first. (we sound a lot of like) I told him it was Aunt Aimee. Then the greatest moment ever...He said, "Hi Aunt Aimee." AUGH! I love it! I cannot wait for Jacob, Lewis, and Isabelle to start calling me! There are advantages, at times, to being the "oldest" aunt. Speaking of Isabelle and Lewis....
-Isabelle first! I am getting a niece! A niece! Who will wear pink! It took 5 boys but it's finally going to happen in December! YAY!
-Lewis next! Lewis is getting a new house on lots of land. My sister and her hubby are buying 10 acres and building a home. Eric and I are so jealous. I am also very happy for them. This is a great thing for them and they have worked hard for it.
Now for the pictures:
Andrew is now in Club 4-5-6 at church. He LOVES it! This group gets together once a month and has devotionals, snacks, and game time. It prepares them a bit for youth.

My sister came down so of course we snagged that moment for a cousin pics. Aren't they all adorable? The babies are all so laid back. Lewis is in Chelsea's lap, Nathan in Andrew's, and Abi has Jacob.

Building the worlds tallest cup tower.

Welcoming home soldiers from the war! We have joined a local organization here and have got to go twice. I wish we could go more, but that is all we have been able to do. It has been such a great experience so far.

The kids all had parties. Of course I didn't take any of Andrew and Abi's (UGH!) but Chelsea's friends asked to take this. We were headed out to do a scavenger hunt, after their massages. (Btw, Andrew had a water fight party and that is what Abi's turned into also. They all had a blast!) This was very last minute so thank you Kim B. that you posted the details of your hunt! I stole them and tweaked them for teens. They went into chick-fil-a on all fours and moo'ed like cows for a free meal. I have never laughed so hard in my entire life!! And they got the meal!

All 3 of my kids had a:

It took 2 days to prepare the foods and about 15 minutes to throw it.

They had a blast! The C. families joined us, one C. family stayed and had hot dogs with us. After they left, Chelsea, Andrew, Abi, and Chelsea's friends all played games. And they let me join! They even invited me to join! After that we all played blackout. They love this game. Apparently I am pretty good at it, being sneaky and all! I have figured out that teens just want someone to hang out with them and have food available. They also want parents who will not judge them and who will actually hang out with them. Chelsea's bf brags how he never really hangs out with his parents, doesn't talk to them, etc. yet he talks my ear off and actually will sit down with us and play games and ENJOY IT! Andrew was bragging on him tonight telling someone how fun Chelsea's bf is. So Eric and I are really trying to be that house.
So that's it! That's what we have been doing! If you read all that, wow, you must really like me!! Have a blessed day! ;-)
