Here's a rundown of my day:
-I wake up to the news (at 5:30) that the health care reform has passed. Why does this surprise me?! Let me tell you, Mr. Obama, this is one small business owner that is not happy with it!
-my two youngest kids have been bickering for days. You know when you watch the movies with the kids in the background screaming, "No, it's mine", "He's touching me!" and all that lovely stuff? Well, those are my youngest right now. In the grocery store, they kept running each other into the shelves with the buggies. Had I beat them in the store, I think the cops would have thanked me. The kids made it out alive. I think everyone applauded when we left. I would have rather taken my 1 yr. old and 2 yr. old nephews.
-I served Chelsea's boyfriend raw meat for dinner. Did I mention that his beloved Brittney Spaniel died and he was here for comfort?
-During reading time, my son likes to play with my hair. Today he exclaimed, "Oh my! Are those bugs in your hair? What are those white flakes?!" Yes, Andrew, I have a very dry scalp that produces flakes. Thank you for noticing. He then proceeds to tell me that he must "pick them out." So while reading out the Revolutionary War and how the colonists dealt with lice, my son proceeded to "pick out" my dry scalp. Yes, I bought head and shoulders at the store. My future cosmetologist daughter reassured me that people with very thick hair have very dry scalps. God love her.
-I made a huge mistake on my budget. I realized it while talking with a friend on the phone. This is my friend whose husband does not have a job. Then I started crying. Hello, they do not even have a budget! Hey friend, I am good now. I am just going to keep spending money like it's there. Sound good? Thanks for offering to buy all my extra food.
-Another friend called while I was crying and bless her, she just let me cry and encouraged me. Then I asked her what she really needed. She hem-hawed around and finally said she has wanted me to send an email to some people about finding her a housekeeper. Our Lord has such a great sense of humor. I think I will tell her that she must pay in advance for the housekeeper and then give the housekeeper my address.
-Abi has a hacking cough that sounds like she has been smoking for years. But yet, I still made her read to me even though she was gasping for breath. Can anyone say teacher of the year?
-Eric and Chelsea went dress shopping. I received a text from Eric that said, "OMG" They were gone a total of 30 minutes and came home empty handed. I don't think it went well.
*All in all, I am one blessed woman. Praise the Lord that we have money to even have a budget, that I have friends who love and encourage me, a son who worries that his mom has bugs, meat to (somewhat) cook, a dr. that will help Abi if she needs it, a teenager that reassures, a husband who provides, a grocery store that is wonderful to shop in, and a country where I can still voice that I disagree with the governments decisions without fearing for my life. May we find laughter in all we do....it's the only way I can truly lose weight!
-I will post Eric's birthday pictures tomorrow! And the last(?) snow of the season!

I had pictured in my mind a National Geographic specical where one monkey is picking at the fur/hair of another! I'm not calling you monkeys!! That's just the picture that came to mind.
Sorry that you had such a bad day yesterday. I pray that today goes better for you!
