Who would you be?

Do you ever wonder how you would have reacted had you been around when Jesus was crucified? Would you have been Peter who said, "I will never deny You!" Yet, does, not once but twice. Or would you be John, who stood at His feet while He hung on the cross? And not only would you be there but you would be given the honor of caring for our Lord's mother. Would you be Mary Magdalene who went to prepare His body and then cling to Him once you realized He had risen? Or would you be Thomas who would need to see the proof that He was Jesus?

I have given so much though to this over the years. I tend to be like Peter. I am a hothead, I say I will not do something but when put over the coals, I give in. I rush in, as Peter did at the tomb, without thinking sometimes. I tend to have a side at times that would be like John and want to be there, still loving the entire time. I can also be like Mary and want to cling to Him. And Mr. Doubtful himself, well, I have been there many times, asking "WHY?" "Do you really love me?!" "Where are you?"

Or would I be in the crowd? The crowd that bowed down and praised Him, shouting, "Hosanna!" then hours later yelled, "Crucify Him!"

But when you think about it, don't we do that every day?

Praise God that He died on the cross for my sins, knowing that every day I would shout His praises then turn and crucify Him later with my thoughts, actions and words.

HE HAS RISEN! And because He has, I have the absolute assurance that I will bow at the feet of my Master, my Creator, My King of Kings, My Lord of Lords, the Alpha Omega, the Perfect One, the Lamb and the Lion.

Rejoice Fellow Christians! This is the day that defines our Faith, and our faith shall define us.

HAPPY RESURRECTION DAY!
