Oppression

Have you felt oppressed? Like life is just being sucked out of you?! My last two weeks has been like that. No worries, I still see goodness and I still see My God who is on the throne. I am just emotionally drained and feel like I am battling the enemy with all my might. Some things are were brought on by me, some not. But they are still battles that I must fight with my King. Pray that I will fight against the enemy and not with him. Pray I will stand firm with My Lord!

Some great things to share:
-Our kids have been amazing. Simply amazing. On our anniversary they cooked an entire lunch for us on their own. We are blessed. Then the next night they cooked again. They have all been so helpful and so very loving. One day last week, I walked into the schoolroom with tears streaming down my face and asked the kids to handle their schoolwork. They gladly did and loved me for the day. Chelsea has been a joy. I am enjoying having a "near" woman in our home.

-God still shows me His love even when I goof. He also disciplines but I am grateful.

-Our neighbor Tasha was over one evening. I offered her something to eat. She refused saying she was fat and that morning she weighed 141. I replied that I weighed 148 so that's not bad. Her reply? "Dang! I must be getting fat!" Thanks T~!

-Joy, a young woman that I adore, commented to her mom that I am skinny. That word has never been used to describe me. Awesomeness!

-We enjoyed our last lunch with Kenzie and Justin our college students. It was great to hear we are on the "A" list for their wedding!

-Chelsea's best friend is a great friend. She cried the other night when she heard of Hannah. That is true friendship. I am so thankful she and Chelsea have each other.

-Chelsea wrote a paper for school in favor of homeschooling. hello! cool!

I would share pictures but I do not believe I have any. If you could, please lift up the Manly family. The young mother, Elizabeth, age 24, returned home to Jesus this morning. She had cancer and it attacked her quickly. They delivered her 28 week old baby, Megan, last Friday. Megan seems to be doing well. The Manly's also have 3 other children under the age of 5. They have the assurance that Elizabeth is with Our Lord but I am sure their hearts are aching. I do not know them but several of my friends are friends with them.

"Refrain from anger and turn away from wrath;
do not fret-it leads only to evil."
Psalms 37:8
