A license...and a bird whisperer?

The day finally came that Chelsea has been waiting on for probably 5 years. She is now a licensed driver! Just typing that invokes fear in me a bit! She is a good driver but any parent out there that has experienced this knows how we feel. It's nice she has the independence but wow, it's scary! We are easing slowly into driving full time. She has taken the car once but she is also not with us for her two weeks right now. I am sure when she is here that the question of, "Mom, Dad, can I borrow the car?" will be heard often. Pray for us!

Proudly displaying her temporary license

The first day that she drove without an adult in the car. I made her call me when she arrived at both of her destinations and when she left them.

After we all greeted her in the driveway (we weren't actually waiting)we found a baby bird that had fallen out of it's nest.

Chelsea bravely (well, not really, more like she was coaxed by all of us) returned to the bird to it's nest without incident.

We thought of contacting the true bird whisperer, Laura Cleveland, but the situation was handled.

I was thinking as I read this, why aren't you bringing it in, making a home for it, and getting some dog food mashed up for the poor little thing!!
