Crazy White Folks at Dinner

Today was much better. Prayers work! We started the day with a visit to the zoo! Elise loved it! She took so many pictures. The best part was feeding the giraffes. The weather was beautiful which made it even better. Actually the weather since we arrived in GZ has been near perfect. We are loving the sunshine and high 60's. The pigs were quiet frisky and we now know why there are so many little pigs in their stall. It was quiet a sight when two llama's got in a fight and one jumped out of the cage! It took about 10 minutes to get back in. Everyone laughed so hard!

After the zoo the we headed across the street to buy some noodles for lunch. I love the fact that we can walk to the store each day and buy what we need. That is one thing I miss about being in China when we leave. Abi and I went down to the lobby and bought her a sausage roll since she's not a big fan of noodles. Our translator finally worked and we were able to communicate to Elise if she rested, she could have ice cream and play on the hotel playground when it was time to get up. *Sidenote: There are no words to describe how incredible this hotel is. It's AMAZING. There's a beautiful outside garden with fish to feed and a gorgeous waterfall cascading down. There's an outdoor playground, an inside playroom, a beautiful pool and hot tub, a golf range experience inside and so much more. The food is SO good!* Elise obliged and rested. While she rested, she worked on her school books they sent with her. On her own. I'm not quiet sure what to think about one of my children actually doing school without being asked. I'm in shock. When Elise got up, we went to the lobby and had fro yo. And it's really frozen yogurt. It was very good. We met up with Tracie and Lillie and went to the playground for a minute then headed to get paperwork for our consulate appointment tomorrow. We quickly got ready for dinner and then headed out for authentic Chinese fried noodles and dumplings with Tracie, Tommy, their daughter Lillie, Paige (one of the 'single' moms for the week) and her son Andrew.

Dinner...well, to sum up how it went one parent left with their child, I sat outside with mine for quiet awhile while she whined, and one mom headed to get wine after it was over. ;-) We have no schedule while here. Well, we have one but it's quiet different than home. We go, stop, go, rest, go. It's not consistent and emotions are all over the place due this craziness. All three kids were having breakdowns. Elise finally calmed down when the food came. My friends son does not like to lose the phone to eat so this older Chinese woman glared at us the entire time. Abi finally started taking pictures of her and she turned around. :-)

Elise has had a bath and will be heading to bed soon. We have an early morning appointment at the consulate. By early, I mean out the door at 7:35, done with breakfast. That's early for me even when I don't have jet lag. The great news is that she doesn't have TB!! We can fly home on Thursday! Well, as long as the ticket is fixed. Keep the prayers coming on that! We have a great travel agent.

Thank you again for praying! We get to see Grace on Wednesday and we are so excited!!! So that means tomorrow we need to pack up because we are leaving on a jet plane Thursday!!!!! Let's get this new life at home started!!! We are ready to be a complete family again. By chance, does anyone know how to download a movie to your computer once you have bought if from amazon? The movie must be downloaded to watch it on the plane and we need something to watch!!! If you could help us out with that, we would appreciate it.  In case you didn't know, we have lots of pics on WeChat. Chelsea is doing an incredible job uploading some of them for us. There's a video on there of Elise singing Happy Birthday that is just too cute.

Love you all! I am about to head to bed! Have a great first day Chels! We miss you guys so much!!!!
