Two Month Update

March 22, 2015 at 9:05pm
  • Two months! We've been home two months with this little sweetie who's lying next to me singing "Twinkle, twinkle little star" while wearing safety goggles and reading her devotion. She's seriously the cutest.

So how is she doing? Elise is doing fantastic. I cannot say it enough. I think she read the same adoption books we read before she came home. She is a textbook adoption. (So far) She does play therapy on her own! Goodness! She has started praying and it's just precious. She loves to play with all things barbie and baby, play with her friends, go to church, sing, tickle us, and do school. She likes school. Likes it. She's extremely compassionate and is such a peacekeeper. She gets along well with everyone and has a special relationship with all her siblings. She still talks about her China family openly and we encourage this. She prays for them each night.

The rest of us are doing great. Peter has made great strides in school and speech. We're very proud of him. Andrew served for a week in El Paso and loved it. (He will share about it as soon as life slows down) Abi turned 13 and loves being a teen. Sigh. Chelsea turns 21 soon. Yikes!

This was short but I'm battling a horrible headache so off to bed I go. Thank you for praying for our family. If you ever want info on adoption or want to know how to pray, let me know. We love you all
