where everyone breathes easier, literally. We landed around 9 p.m. Elise was miserable on the flight. Her ears were really bothering her, plus she had to be still and she detests being still. She went to the bathroom 4 times in 2 hours, ate multiple snacks, and then whined. We were so happy to land. We met our guides at the gate and they put us on a van to the hotel. There are 13 families this week just from Lifeline so they're busy! We arrived at the Garden and we're so, so excited to see we have a big room! We have a sitting room, along with our bedroom. Spreading out will help. We all showered then headed to bed around 11:30. Well, we tried. Elise was in rare form. After some very stern words from babbi, she went to bed.
We had an early morning this morning. We got up around 6 a.m. to get ready for medicals. We went to eat breakfast and then met our large group to head to the clinic. It's fun meeting everyone in our group and the other families that are here with other agencies. Elise mothered every baby she saw. ;-) Medicals went well. We found out that she basically has no sight in her left eye. No biggie. We were expecting something like that. We'll find a good doctor once we get home and go from there. She is healthy and acted wonderfully during the exam. She's the oldest in our group by about 7 years so she has lots of babies to baby. The other parents are very gracious. She keeps leaving us, which makes it very hard. She's a bit of a runner. She just goes with the group of white people but they are not always the right white people. ;-) After meds, we stopped at the supermarket to buy noodles and this fruit that the Maglot's have gotten us addicted to. I wish we could bring it home! Everyone is relaxing with lunch right now and I am about to head out to finish paperwork. Loads of fun! Tonight we will head to a Mexican restaurant for dinner. In China. Ha!
Thanks for following our adventures!! 4 more days! Well, for us. Pray for no TB!! And pray we can see Grace while here! We will be doing a welcome home like we did for Peter. We will post more on that later. It will probably be around 8 p.m. Thursday. Love you all!
Loving Him,
