I will blog more on New Orleans later, but I wanted to touch on some highlights that happened while we were gone.
The kids had a great time with all their grandparents. We are so blessed to have great grandparents who will watch our kids AND do school AND run them to soccer practice AND soccer tournaments. Andrew lost the first game, but he played awesome from what we heard. His team won the final two but we heard he was tired by the last. The kids didn't go to bed exactly on time while we gone but that is ok. We are sad that we missed that games because tournaments are so much. The kids are all hyped up and Eric and I love the air of excitement that is there. Maybe next year...
Chelsea came to the church last night to see the kids. That is a big step for her. She showed us her flag routine for her tryouts. She has made huge improvements from last year.
I will say this about New Orleans, Eric and I LOVE it!!! I would have to say it was one of the best cities we have ever visited, hands down. The people were so nice, the food was great, we loved the atmosphere, and our B&B was fantastic. New Orleans is a very family oriented town. You have to know where to go and what time to leave places. We cannot wait to go back! We have already discussed possibly driving through there on our way to Florida. I wouldn't want to live in New Orleans, but I loved visiting it. This had to be one of the most relaxing vacations we have ever done.
