Guess What?

It snowed! I bet you didn't know that! ;-) We had a great time playing in the snow on Thursday and Friday. We took "snow days" both days. We did some reading and a bit of math but overall, we just enjoyed the snow! Longview did not cancel school for some reason but every one that we have talked to did not go. Chelsea did not have electricity at her mom's and she wanted to play so she stayed home. I saw our neighbor Tasha (she is 15 also) walking to the bus stop and I asked her where she was going. She told me and I convinced her to stay home. I am such a good influence! ;-) Her momma told me she was going to beat me up. So I took her some cupcakes and it was all better. We tried to sled down a hill close to our house but that didn't work so well. Oh well! We had fun anyways! The kids would play, come in, go back out, play, come in, go back out, all day. It was so neat to wake up and see snow in our yard again the next morning. We still have a bit of our snowman left but he is quickly disappearing. I have seen so many people use food coloring in the snow. I wish we would have thought of that! It's so pretty! Our neighbor across the street made an incredible snowman and he did it all by himself! He even used tools. LOL Our neighbor next door lost part of their car port due to the weight of the snow on top but the neighbors banded together and saved it.

I love how beautiful the trees looked. I could have looked outside all day. The world looked so clean. I wish it could have stayed that pretty all day. The trees almost look elegant.
