Life Part 3

Mom fail...we have no Easter pictures. Oh well. We made it to church on time, we think Elise finally understands that Easter is about the risen Savior, not celebrating the fact that Jesus loves chocolate and that we were not all going to Heaven today, and we enjoyed our time with family! Lots of memories were made and Jesus is still alive on His throne despite my mom fail. wink emoticon Plus, had you seen the pictures, you would have seen that my daughter was wearing a Santa Claus pin. Ha!!!

We've had a week full of praises and they're too good not to share!
-Andrew was sick for 11 days. 11 days! He had intense migranes. I finally told him he was going to the doctor. The doctor noticed he was very clammy and since Andrew had recently been to El Paso, he wanted to run a bunch of blood work. After 3 vials of blood, we found out it was a viral infection. This oil lovin' mom knew which oils to give and Andrew is now at a work weekend at Pine Cove! Praying he stays well. He's missed seeing people
-Elise learned to ride her bike! There were many tears and bouts of frustration but she did it. It helped that Peter may have translated 3 days instead of 3 weeks when he told her she had to learn before we went camping.
-No more Dallas visits for a year!!!!!!!
-And the big one. We've not had this confirmed by a doctor but we're grateful for hope. We've been told by Elise and others that she has no sight at all in her left eye. We actually forget about this often. She was telling me one morning, in Chinglish, that she had heard the story about Jesus spitting in the blind mans eyes and healing him. Then she looked at me and told me, "I can see in both eyes." I asked my son Andrew to help 'test' her (aka cover her eye with both hands) and y'all!! She could!!! We have no idea what this means but we're clinging to the healing power of our Jesus!
Have a great weekend! My girls (well two of them) are off to clothes shop! Praise! Elise has been able to wear several of Abi's hand-me-downs!

From Andrew:
Thank you so much for your support for my trip to El Paso. Here is a little of what we did.
Monday- We helped with kids in a inner-city outreach program called Ciudad Nueva with Mrs. Connie Hellmuth.
Tuesday- We worked at a VBS in a government housing project called Sandoval.
Wednesday- On this day we went to a neighborhood. Some of the group went and played games with the kids in the area and the rest worked on small projects a local church found for us
Thursday- On this day, in a way, was like a break. We learned about different religions, we visited a college campus that replicated off of a Buddhist monastery, a mosque, and a Hindu temple.
Friday- On this day we made bags with snacks, water, sock, toothbrush, toothpaste, and other things. We took the bags and gave them to people we saw on the street and we sat down and talked with them if they wanted to talk.
Again thank you so much for your support and prayers.
